No need to initiate a glow cycle to check the pre-chambers, just shine a nice bright light inside.

New heat shields EVERY TIME! They deform when you torque the injector to spec. You can bend them back into original shape and re-use, but that would be a temporary solution in my book. They are cheap enough and don't take up much space, just order a couple sets so you have at least one spare set on hand all the time.
