OK, one last pre-flight update!

The valve adjustment operation went well. I discovered all valves had some clearance (cold), but were all inconsistent. They adjusted as hoped and there were no issues found. Replaced spark plugs, fuel accumulator, strainer, filter, and all hoses at the rear of car. The old accumulator was full of fuel on the vapor recovery side, and I can't believe how well the car starts now, hot or cold. Two cranks and off she goes.

The low idle seemed to be remedied by the above repairs.

New Bilstein HD shocks have been installed (that was easy!), and rear differential mount replaced.

Coolant temperature for my routine test-drive route of mixed back roads, freeway, hills and stop & go are now also lower, so I'm happy about that.

I've run a full tank of fuel through it these past four days, and am confident the car is ready for its 4600 mile journey from SF to Chicago and back!

Will keep you posted!
