After one month of being unavailable, Mercedes finally made available the driver side lower control arm. I installed both the driver side and passenger side control arms directly from Mercedes and torqued the torsion (sway bar) bolts to the specified 20NM without any problems. There was no galling of the threads as had occurred with the Lemforder parts. Mercedes control arms were manufactured in Slovenia. The Lemforder control arms were manufactured in Italy. My recommendation to anyone thinking of purchasing Lemforder part number 124-330-30-07 (driver side control arm) or 124-330-31-07 (passenger side control arm) is to think twice and purchase the Mercedes OEM parts for this application.
