Maybe the bell housing comes off the CD transmission. I don’t know of any 722.3 or .4 transmissions with removable transmissions, but that might be ignorance. Some engines have a removable plate that mates with the bell housing.
There should be a long string of numbers on the transmission casting just above the pan gasket line on the starboard side. Look for numbers that contain 722.3xx or 722.4xx. I don’t renember where the older 722.0 and .1 identification numbers are. It must be 20 years since I’ve had a wrench on one.
