OK, I am still chasing (not very quickly) this problem. The car just failed a safety inspection because when you depress the brake pedal the right turn blinkers don't come on. As soon as you remove your foot from the pedal, they work.
I have removed the light bar and applied a 12V source from the ground to each pin and each light illuminates brightly. I have once again checked the ground wire from the plug to the body of the car. Good continuity. Every light on that corner of the car works fine until you depress the brake pedal.
So I guess now I have to go forward in the car. Is there a possibility of a problem at the brake pedal switch that could cause this problem? I need this fixed and I need to pass inspection. Thanks for any help.
