Just a heads up, you won't find an 87 190D Turbo with a manual unless it's been swapped and you probably won't find a 190D Turbo or a manual anyway because of the rarity. 190Ds were rare in the first place but there were less than 1500 190D turbos imported to the US and most 190Ds imported were automatics.

My first car was a 190D 2.5 auto, has enough power for most things but no ABS. I subsequently went to a 190E Sportline when I had the chance, which I'm now converting to manual and megasquirt. I'd personally recommend a late W210 for a combination of safety, reliability, and cheap parts.
