Ordered one of these for my recently acquired W124 - '91 300D. Easiest mod I think I've done to any of my cars. Install took less than 30 minutes (and that includes replacing the lock circuit fuse under the hood AND the fact I was working outside at 20*F with a nice, stiff wind).

Main reason for wanting the remote was unlock the car so the kiddos could load up for school in the mornings. So I was somewhat worried about the range (given I followed Bob's instructions to the letter and put the remote unit under the seat). For the record, the underseat mounting location allows the remote to work just fine from inside the house (30ft away).

This is $50 well spent (and probably even more easily installed when you can feel your fingers).
