both parties fulfilling the agreement, it is impossible for one party to keep the agreement (1) or the agreement is amended (2).
Notes:
1. If you hire me to jump over a building any judge will find it impossible for me to fulfill the agreement and make it void. Likewise if someone stole a car you agreed to sell to me it would be impossible to hold you to the deal.
2. An amendment to a contract may proclaim it void if agreed by both parties.
If someone asked me to cancel an agreement on the grounds that they had extraordinary, unforeseen circumstances I would agree to void the agreement. I'm not a monster.
Other than me agreeing to cancel an agreement I have no respect for anyone who fails to keep a commitment. That includes welshing on a bet.
