Contrary to popular belief the vac pods on the w126 lights pull the lights up into their normal position. Less vacuum causes them to dip. If the pods are still good and you don't care about the adjustment feature I would just run a vacuum line from them directly to the main vacuum line under the hood. Nice an easy, only requires two hoses, and if ou ever decide you want to add the adjuster it wouldn't be hard to do.
