I had an OM602 head with cross threaded lock ring threads. I purchased the correct sized tap and attempted to clean up the threads. Your best bet would be to have a properly equipped machine shop correct the problem. I gave up on my attempt before I did irreparable damage. Another forum member now has that head. I hope they’ve been able to get some use out of it.
