Not exactly a "long socket extension," but Mercedes-Benz 000 581 3501, made by Matador. One end is an 11 mm male hexagonal bit and the other end is a 10 mm hexagonal socket. Overall length is 8 3/4". I'll leave it to you and the other "eagle eyes" to divine its intended use.

With regard to the flat metal piece, it is not an M-B hub cap removal tool, but something from an American car, the exact make of which is long forgotten.
It even has instructions for its use stamped into one of the wide sides.
