Given the significant amount of time, labor, and special tools required to replace these on a 60x engine... it is worth every penny of the $50 (current price) for the OE / Genuine MB seal kit with metal shells.

Thanks for the info. The elring seals I just installed look different from the ones pictured. I'll try to get a pic. The ones I just pulled from the head look like a combination of the MB and aftermarket pictured above.
