I have posted about this before. I just unbolted the entire exhaust at the bend about 3 feet past the turbo, no muffler, no nothing, just a pipe to keep the exhaust gases out of the engine compartment. It is loud by car standards but I work with big diesel engines (Cummins, Detroit, International, Mack, etc.) for a living and I LOVE the sound it has. Most engines I went through school learning on had nothing at all past the turbo. I say, just try it for a week and see if you like it. If you don't you can always bolt something back on and be happy.
