Not so on a W124/W210/W202 etc. EVERYTHING is much cheaper, and more OEM parts are available.
Let's be honest, most of the problems you've had with your SDL were caused by you. There are several threads you started on this forum to back that up in your own writing!

Rebuilding the suspension is NOT that bad. You don't need a special tool, and a good number of the rubber bits are similar and similar in price to the W124 and W123, so I don't understand where you get off claiming the price is so high.

Do what needs to be done as it needs it and avoid the temptation to go "shutgun" on the thing and replace literally everything at once. If you don't have a space to work on a car that needs work (any 123, 126, 140, 202, 210 is gonna need a place to work on it), you should be looking at something newer and domestic so you can have someone else work on it without breaking the bank. ANY 20+ year old car (and I don't care who made it or where) is going to need work done to the suspension, and likely to the drivetrain as well.

Sorry if that sounds cold and direct, but sometimes things just need to be said! Nothing personal.
