Before I went to look at the car, I had a dealer friend run one of their carfax style checks on the car and it came back clean. (Here and in the earlier post here I called it a carfax but this one is for dealers only, and better.) I figure that one or both the L.S. rims probably took the brunt of it, and was/were replaced. That would explain why the car has two new back tires while the fronts are only so so. My main concern is bent and/or cracked control arms.
