On a separate, unrelated topic, my favorite was a 1960s era 1600 that seemed to barely hold together at 90 mph on the Autobahn. I had also owned a 76 500 series but did not like it as much. Sold it to a Air Force kid cheap and he ran it out of oil and destroyed it.
Driving the 1600 was like driving a biplane. You felt close to the machine.
The same thrill as falling out the side of a perfectly good airplane...
