My transmission came from a 300D, not a 240D if that makes a difference.
Also, 1st thing i'll do is drain the atf in there and then refill it to correct level.
I have a heavy duty Jack to use to bring the box down.
I hope it's a simple gearbox internally that i don't need any special tools.
I'll get some snap ring pliers, i have spanners, screwdrivers, sockets and Allen key stuff.
