The 2002 Rio I owned was the worst piece of junk I've ever seen right off the dealers lot. I vowed I'd never buy another Kia when I got rid of it. But people will insist on going cheap. Hyundai need to remove the heads from their asses and fix this right now. Or they need to be fined into bankruptcy. There may be and excuse for screwing up. ie Nobody is perfect. There is no excuse for trying to pretend there is no issue in this day and age of instant global communication where everybody can see everything that happens almost in real time.

Re: GM 3800 - manifold gasket, or valve cover gasket? I can't see how even removal of the intake or exhaust manifolds themselves would cause an oil leak.
