Antenna trigger wire with DEH-80PRS

I'm currently installing audio in my 1987 190D turbo. I've got an amp installed and am installing a Pioneer DEH-80PRS. The 80PRS has a "system remote control" wire that I've used in previous cars (this is my 3rd 80PRS install) to connect to an amp. This is my first car that has had a power antenna.

My question is, if I connect the blue wire to my amp, can I also connect splice the power antenna trigger wire into this? If I do and that works, the antenna will raise every time the radio gets power, correct?

If I don't connect the antenna trigger wire, will the button to manually raise and lower the antenna still work? I don't use the FM radio much but it would be nice to have it there as an option.
