A recent article in I believe the Wall Street journal stated the automakers here in the US would eventually have no choice but two switch us to an electric fleet. They posted a wide range of numbers, but the cost of emission equipment and certification and design represented a pretty good chunk of the price of a car.I believe they were saying that it averaged out to between 3 and $7,000 per unit.
