....By neutering, I think that's a good idea .

When I was in L.A.P.D. Air Support the Ca. State's fruit fly shop was next door ~ they bred millions of sterile fruit flies and let them go, this served to quickly and sharply reduce the fruit flies that decimate local produce farms .

The down side was : _they_ worked in a sealed building, we got thousands of fruit flies all day long , in our eyes, ears and mouths.....
