From what I see...

Yes, the honda sacrificed its front end to save its driver, this idea worked out just as honda designed it.
However, the MB didnt have to sacrifice much to achieve the same level of protection. (in this circumstance)

(this is totally ignoring the issue that "the mb owner can have his car economically repaired [whether or not the insurance co. agrees], the Honda owner cannot")
