Well I got lucky and my mounts arrived today and since I didn't have much to do anyway I decided to change them!
What you get:
2x Meyle mounts marked L and R (didn't notice a difference between them other than the markings old ones were marked too)
2x Rubber stops
6x new washers
4x new small front bolts
How the job went:
I followed the fsm and didn't remove the tire or jack up the car.
You have to support the subframe near the mount before removing the bolts.
Be careful when doing this job because when you remove the bolts the subframe which is pushed by the spring can smash into the ground if your jack slips.
Removal was easy with just a screwdriver.
Installation was ok. Used a lot of silicone grease on the mount and the subframe. Made a jig out of wood so that my other jack would push on the outside of the mount.
But I did have to remove the new mount and install it 180 degrees out because the big bolt wouldn't go in.
Test drive time!
WOW what a difference!
my rear suspension is more comfortable (It always felt a bit harsh)
and a slight vibration I had on the highway is now gone car is smooth even at high speed.
