560SL IACV (ISAV)

So my IACV looks dead, From what I have researched the motor winding should read approx. 5 ohms, mine reads .5 ohms. It does not react at all to applied voltage of 12V, no clicks, no valve movement. I suspect a shorted winding.

At this point in time, available new MZB valves are in the $500+ range (gag me with a spoon).
Used are in the $100 - $250 range (hesitant to go there, too pig-in-a-poke-ish).
Aftermarket new seems reasonable at $100 - $150.
Has anyone purchased one of these non-MZB units and what was your experience?
Are they a workable alternative or am I better off rolling the dice on a used one? The customer reviews on them are spotty.
