I purchased this tool to check the pre chamber ring torque on my OM617, even tho this is a low mileage motor (86,000 miles) three of rings pulled up so they were a bit loose. This tool works perfectly and holds the jaws tight in the ring slots so it does not move when installing or removing the rings. And yes it beats the hammer and punch method. $27.50 with free shipping in the USA.
