Hi Guy's, I have put my 1990 420SEL up on craigslist.

I bought the car from an older gentleman who last used the car as his airport car when he would fly up to Bessemer. The car was not used very much in the last few years. He made me an offer that I could not refuse, I am more a diesel guy as opposed to this spark ignition stuff, but the car needed some love.

I have put around 4000 miles on the car and would drive it across country without worry. The car looks great from 5 feet, but the paint has some scratches and the four corners of the bumpers have some paint missing as well. The interior is very nice, the Blue dash has no cracks. I have done all of the maintenance items. The PO did change out the timing chain at 73,000 miles at the MB dealer here in Birmingham. The car is just a little shy of 100,400 miles.

One thing of note is that I swapped the seats with my 1984 300SD. The original bases are in the car so the door controls still work, except for the manual head rests. The seats are in good shape with no rips. I do have pool noodles in the springs to prop them up.

I am looking for $ 9,500.00, but am flexible.

I am in the hunt for a 84-85 300TD in the southeast. Most wagons available are in California and Oregon, a little far from Alabama.
