Had the same problem with mine and I had a stunning relevation... I had only removed two of the three torx screws. After the removal of the third, rotor removal became MUCH easier. The shield behind the rotor that mates to the distributor cap (if that's what you're referring to) was loose on mine too... I am assuming that that's normal. Hope that helps.
