GO Back to the fuses first!!
Same thing happened to me about three years ago, and I was ready to order the switch when the following routine saved the day for me!
Maybe, just Maybe you can save yourself some trouble and cost if you go back to the fuse box, remove the fuse and GENTLY buff the contacts and the fuse ends with a little bit of steel wool or emery cloth to remove any oxidation. Then stick the fuses back in and try the switch again.
Still running the same fuses and got three more years out of the switch...lets see now thats makes 21 years. When are they ever going to build these cars to last? :^)
Good luck with yours,,,and thanks to everyone for the removal /replace guidance. Y'all are just great on this board!!!
