I've been here almost 17 years now. I don't post much since the old 300SD is a weekender car now undergoing a rolling restoration and the 300D has been gone for years. Most questions that I need answers to have been answered here years ago, so that reduces my need to post. This forum has a wealth of information, and it kind of bugs me when newbies in Facebook groups ask basic questions about old MB diesels that could easily be answered with Google Search, and the results often lead HERE! (Guess I'm an old man now )The newer generation seems to think that Uncle Kent has all the answers to what ails old MB diesels. I know he provides a service and I'm not knocking him for that, but I was daily driving one of these cars when he wasn't on anybody's radar, and even when he was, I wasn't going to spend money to order a guide or special tool from him when that information is readily available on these forums for free!
