I checked with dealer for stock and price. Then I had him re-check with Mercedes Canada.

Those strips are just over US$20 at several US on-line stores. They describe them as Genuine Mercedes. Maybe those have better pricing than if bought from dealer?
I will probably order a set from USA. In meantime, I have some ideas on how to get by with existing that might be better than those hooks that break!
