Some simply don't care that they're spinning the engine far faster than prudent .

I have traveled America in my '82 240D with slush box and I rarely go over 60 ~ 65 MPH, if I need to go faster I'll get another vehicle rather than foolishly force the one at had beyond it's design parameters .
