On my 1969 280SE W111, I removed the clutch master cylinder, and now in reinstalling it, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get the eccentric bolt between the master cylinder actuator rod and pedal in. I just spent an hour on my back contorted under the dash and didn't really get anywhere close. And i ran out of curse words that I know.

It's so maddening because everything else is ready to go - I just need to connect the pedal. Any tips from anyone?
