Are you absolutely sure all the pins made it through the proper holes? Resist the urge to apply one last hard push and no hammers. I bat 50 50 putting those in when they want to be stubborn they will. First one I did 30 minutes no problem 2 nd one 4 hours and a pin broke off and I never pressed that hard. If that happens you drop the valve body and solder in a new connector.
