Excellent advice. I’ll forward that to him. He may think he knows it all already, but nobody does. Hell, I might even buy that car from him someday. He wanted this IP just to have a spare. He really likes the 603.

I just took it to his shop. He was ecstatic to get it, he took a photo of the number badge, and then took a photo of the same badge on the IP in his nicer 350SD, he said it’s the same numbers. We settled on 150 bucks, cost me 60, I’m OK with that. It was a hard 90 bucks, hot as hell, on the second day didn’t take enough water with me and I really struggled getting that bracket on the back off.

If I’d had a stubby 10 mm wrench, would’ve made life a lot easier. Heck, if I’d even brought my battery powered Makita angle grinder, I could’ve cut through one useless bracket to get it out of my way, AND cut an inch or two off of that wrench. When I got back to my car, I had two bottles that I had foolishly left inside, they were as hot as fresh tea, I practically chugged one of them I was so thirsty. I might have to be more careful next time. I’m not getting any younger, too much sun not enough water on a hot day could be a problem. You would have to see this yard, it’s huge and all the euro cars are in one far corner. More than a quarter-mile from the gate. And I had a horrible paranoia that if I went to get more water, I’d get back in time to see some other guy making off with the pump.
