$4.5k to $5.5k is a very good price, IMHO.

1972 is probably the most sought after model year of the 72-80 450 SL's.

Just so you know, the bumpers on this car came that way. 1972 is the only year that came with the Euro bumpers.

What also makes this desirable is 1972's have the most hp of all the 450 SL's because they have no smog equipment, no catalytic converters, etc.

Also, not that it's bad or anything, but 1972 450 SL's came with hubcaps originally. The "bundt cake" sytle wheels that are on this car were offered several years later. It probably doesn't detract from the car's value as most people prefer the allow wheels anyway.
