How long do OVP's last?

I ask because my car stalled after I filled it up at the gas station. It stalled as I came to a stop and again at the next intersection when stopped.

The car has 177,987 kms on it. M103 motor.

The alternator was replaced 25,000 kms ago

The plugs and wires are 30,000 kms old.

The coil and distributor are original and look amazingly new...

I am thinking OVP. The car has a very poor idle and will stall if not put into neutral at intersection.

On a side note, will my water pump last longer if coolant is always kept fresh? It is also still original.

Please offer anything you can.

With much thanks,

Mike McKinney
