Well, after only short ownership, my engine seized. The temperature gauge was faulty. I started blowing smoke on the road (it was nighttime, and I couldn‘t tell if it was grey or white…) and when I got home, I shut off the car… The radiator and hoses were cool (relatively) to the touch, and when I restarted the car to check something, the starter cranked once, and stopped with a dull thud from the motor. It started after another attempt, but blew more smoke, so I shut it back off again. This morning it doesn‘t start at all. The prices to have these rebuilt the right way are astronomical, so I suppose I‘m looking to do a motor swap! The problem is, I can only find two of these engines… One is a 200D, and the other is in Bulgaria… I was wondering if there was anyone out there selling their good working 190Dc motor, from an uncompleted project, or something of the like.
