In part it depends on the size and type of boat. If it’s big enough to live on the the boat owns you. Don’t even think about owning a house and a boat. I love cruising sailboats. I owned a Westsail 32 which for two people would be perfect. The problem is I couldn’t find a wife that shared that opinion(I’ve tried more than once). I’ll never own a cruising sailboat again unless I’m living on it, have no other expenses, and the wife throws me out on my head. Now where’s my Yacht Broker magazine?
