He has the cars and engines, it's his project, and his choice, not sure why folks are so hard on the 602 in this application? I mean it's not like it hasn't been done similarly from the factory before:

290GD 602 Turbo 118hp
UNIMOG 602 Turbo 127hp

Granted the .962 is a slightly different engine but in line at 123hp with the other offerings, and my understanding is this is not being built as a hardcore trail rig. It may be worth confirming the bottom ends of the .938, .939, .981, .982 and .983 to ensure the .962 is stout enough.
