The exact rated specs (and they were very generous) for the 4.0 v8 lump is 190 hp and 239 ft lbs torque

I should have been more clear on low end torque needs, I want spool time from an upgraded turbo that is equal to or better than the stock turbo. I didn't want hx40 recommendations!

The land rover isn't a super turbo diesel drift wagon so winding out out 4000 rpms just isn't going to happen.

Is 200 to 250 ft lbs of torque really that unobtainable in an om602 with an upgraded IP?



My little 2.0 vw tdi maks 300 with ease, the only mod is the tune.

In stock form the om602.962 make better power than the 2.5 300tdi the discovery, defender and range rovers came wirh all over the globe. I just needed it juiced up a bit to handle American highways.


Before doing any mods the engine will be put on a stand, pulled down to make sure she's ready to handle the task of pushing a small tank.
