I'd worry about it sticking down to hit something like a parking lot bumper and shear off, perhaps damaging your oil pan. Also might not let gunk drain out as well, esp since M-B already has a small bolt so the opening will be even smaller.

Worst oil change experience was recently my first time on my son's 2017 Prius. Had to buy a special socket to fit the plastic housing. It has a cartridge filter, like my 300D, but much smaller. Since thin 0W20 oil, it came out of the drain hole like water and splashed out of the large collection bucket (w/ hole in top) onto the driveway. Next time, I'll let it cool to room temperature first. Concerned that such thin oil will let the engine last, but installed same (full-syn) since don't want to second-guess Toyota's engineers.
