On my w123 I inspected the wiring while doing rust repairs to the floor. The wires which route from the passenger's floor make a sharp incline up to enter the B pillar and then to the right rear door. At that sharp incline I found two wires with damage on them, almost as if they'd been bent and the outer diameter had been rubbed.

I'd check points like that where the wiring takes a sharp turn, especially in the door hinge area. If you can't see the wires I'd check for continuity where you can just to isolate the wire that's causing the issue.
