I just bought a German Canvas top for my 560SL (1986) for 325 + $15 shipping. They explained that there's very little difference between the German Canvas the Sonnendeck and the American Canvas ($275) tops except for some embossed design on the interior that identifies the German Canvas top. The quality of the material and the vinyl window is about the same. I figured $50 to be a small price to pay to keep it original. The trick is to find someone in the DC/Maryland area to install for less than $800.
