What component is this?
Howdy folks,
I've got a '78 240d I've been having a blast driving around & catching up on routine maintenance.
Today I went to check oil level before a drive & noticed a wire connected to something on the thermostat housing was disconnected completely.
There was no connector on the end, just black housing, couldn't tell if there was electrical wire inside or not, I tucked it back into the black rubber connector on the therm housing but clearly this wire or whatever it is isn't doing anything.
What is this part? What should be happening here?
