My new 1983 non turbo 300D supposedly has only 85,000 miles on it. All 5 glow plugs were open so i changed them. Now the engine starts much more easily, but there is no glow plug light! Since i've rarely seen the indicator lites burn out,and this car supposedly has only 85K on it, wondering what i can check and hopefully avoid having to remove the instrument cluster. BTW, the new ones were supposedly Bosch, but made in India! I checked each one with an ohm meter before installing.
