While I do not see a dome on it like mine, that white plastic gizmo looks like your Vacuum Control Valve (VCV) - regulates vac going to the tranny. Keeps it at 15PSI as I remember and bleeds it down as you accelerate.

Has been since 2011 when last I looked at it, but that is what I remember.
