Being enslaved is of course an unusual situation. I was referring to more of what we have going on right now.

My take is that life is full of challenges. We humans can be beautiful, artistic souls, we can also be thuggish creeps, rapists, murderers.

I like my man Lao Tzu's words:

"The intelligent man responds intelligently even to unintelligent treatment."

There are examples of people, born into slavery, who lived outstanding lives nonetheless and made great contributions to the world.
