Hi all, I know this is a fairly old thread but I have locked my only key in the trunk and have tried be there. I even made two tools as described. Does anyone have details on where the end of the tool needs to go? I know it goes in the right license plate light opening but once I'm on there I'm just lost. This is a 2002 SL500 SILVER ARROW. I've been all over all of the forums and the Internet and found some great info but I'm going on a month now not being able to drive my summer car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
