AI chatbot app Claude

A client recently recommended Claude as useful for solving various problems. Holy crap, I am astonished at some of the returns I get from it. I was curious why there's no paywall because this stuff is valuable. And of course, I've read that AI uses immense amounts of electricity. I found this in a Google search, so it's another brand of AI commenting on this one:

Quote:
Claude is a family of AI chatbots from Anthropic. It competes with chatbots like OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini.

Key facts about Claude:

Generative AI:

Claude is a generative AI. It creates text and engages in conversations based on prompts.

Models: Anthropic provides Claude models like Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku. These offer different speeds, intelligence levels, and capabilities for free and paid users.

"Constitutional AI": Anthropic focuses on AI safety and ethics using "Constitutional AI." This trains the AI on guiding principles to ensure responses are helpful, honest, and harmless.
I'm thinking one must guard against the temptation to treat this stuff like an unimpeachable source. Pretty much all of the stuff I search on, I already have a halfway good familiarity with, so I don't think I'm being easily fooled. I am being easily mind blown, I will confess that much.
