Though I have no objective data for comparison, it also appears to be fairly resistant to picking up air borne dirt. I used to remove the s/r and clean the rails annually and now do so every two years - same climate, usage, etc., and I use the s/r every chance I get. Before switching 10 years ago, I was using heavy duty Valvoline EP grease.

Sounds like Reinhardt is using it on everything in sight...which is what happens when you get the 250 year supply!
